HistoryFormed in 1961, Arcall was established to manufacture the application systems for bakery release agents for the London Oil Corporation. In 1974 the company became independent and expanded into other applications. Soon after, Arcall supplied Nabisco UK (now Jacob's) with their first spinning disc cracker oiler, the Arcall 660. These application techniques have been used to diversify further into other food industries and increase the export growth into Europe, the former Soviet Union and the USA. Arcall Inc. was established in Richmond Virginia in 1989, and the growth of the company's cracker business in the USA and elsewhere continued apace. Towards the end of the 1990s the company developed its own spray gun and dry flavour systems, and expanded into the snack market. This led to the development of the CLO for accurate oil application to snacks, which is fast becoming accepted as the market leader. In 2003 Arcall acquired the cheese cutting business of Wright Pugson, and the two companies were merged into one facility. Worldwide developments in application needs ensure a continual demand for new technologies. Arcall is anticipating future requirements and ensuring that the technology will be available when needed. | |||||||||||||||||||||
